The Regional Player Improvement Programmes. Partnership areas will develop gymnasts in an environment that promotes excellence. Developing elite gymnasts is a long-term process. This involves more than just identifying talented individuals and providing financial support. Once talent has been identified, it must be supported and nurtured by parents and coaches so that the individuals develop the habits and behaviors of elite performers. The Programme will provide access to quality coaching, athlete education programmes and support services that will help gymnasts to achieve their full potential.
