Rugby in Tayside & Fife

Role of the Rugby Development Manager

Scottish Rugby has ambitious targets for the growth of rugby throughout the country and it is the job of the Rugby Development Manager to work with Schools, Clubs, Local Authorities and other key stakeholders to achieve these targets in Tayside & Fife.
As part of the SportTayside & Fife team the Rugby Development Manager is responsible for managing Scottish Rugby’s partnerships with the four Local Authorities in Tayside & Fife and to contribute to the day to day line management of the Jointly Funded Development Officers and SVQ Community Coaches working in Tayside & Fife.  The Rugby Development Manager works with all clubs in the area through individual club meetings and the Regional Development Groups to ensure assistance with all aspects of club development such as, facilities and coach and official education to ensure that rugby clubs are sustainable and at the centre of their communities.
