Swimming Coach Education

Coach Education and Development

Currently Tayside & Fife organise and run Scottish Governing Body courses throughout the year.

It is hoped that through consultation with clubs, coaches, teachers and the SportTayside & Fife Club/Coach Development Manager, we can run a comprehensive Coach Education programme for swimming within Tayside & Fife, which will address everyone’s needs, whether it is through providing SGB courses or CPD workshops.
Athlete education for swimmers under Area Institute level is also being looked at. Sessions will be set up on topics that will assist swimmers with their future development.

New UKCC Teaching & Coaching Qualifications for Aquatics in Scotland

Scottish Swimming is pleased to announce the introduction of the new UKCC teaching and coaching qualifications for aquatics in Scotland. Developed in partnership with British Swimming, Amateur Swimming Association, Welsh Amateur Swimming Association and the Scottish Qualifications Authority the UKCC is a new and innovative approach to teaching and coaching, and is designed to enhance the quality of coaches, teachers and athletes alike.
